Join us for a special hands-on the land workday at the yəhaw̓ Indigenous Creatives Collective site! This collaborative event will bring together 8+ organizations and groups for a day filled with activities focused on working on the land, plant-based arts and crafts, and delicious food.
Community to Community Development Agroecology Center Project will be leading the planting remediation workshop involving mushrooms, sunflowers, and Vermiremediation (worms!). Participants will have the opportunity to plant, clean the soil behind the house, and participate in soil testing. Additionally, there will be 1 or 2 workshops designed by our youth cohort focusing on Native plants.
Rising Tides will host the 'Thriving Natives Futures Convening' - a day of service and a BBQ.
Participants will be paid $25/hour and treated to a catered lunch
The event will be bilingual in Spanish and English with interpretation services available.
